Away win at Brunsmeer

Posted by admin on October 11, 2011

Another early Saturday kick off saw the boys travel for the first time to Brunsmeer - one of Sheffield's well known junior and established junior sides.

With the coach on holiday and stand-in coach Lee looking after his first game, no one was sure what the result would be. But, we had no need to be woried.

The boys know how to play football and game one was a good solid win, with a one-off goal from the halfway line from Cameron in the first half and a beautiful cross and header in the second being the stand-out moments. The only goal against was a well worked affair that saw James make the initial save low down to his left, but the ball broke free to an unmarked attacker who popped it home.

Game two was much closer - Kian having to make a couple of good saves in the first half particularly. But as always, the second half saw plenty of chances from Alfie and Omar and some solid defending from the depndable Pav alongside Aman who just runs and runs.

Overall another solid win!
